Mid-Atlantic Jack Rescue, Inc.
Mid-Atlantic Jack Rescue, Inc. (MAJR) is a foster-based rescue that helps Jack Russell Terriers (JRT) and JRT mixes. Our mission is to help these dogs find permanent and loving homes regardless of age or disability.
Our rescue is made up of many volunteers spread throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, West Virginia, and Delaware, but we have partners and supporters nationwide. Every dog in our care is in a foster home where he/she can be loved, socialized, and rehabilitated (if needed) until we can find the best “fur-ever” home.
Most MAJR volunteers have a wealth of experience to draw from regarding this specific breed, but you don’t have to be a JRT expert to find a place to volunteer with us! If you are interested in volunteering, please visit our Volunteer page.
In addition to saving and placing dogs, we also find a purpose in educating the public and animal welfare organizations about this very special breed and helping owners who may be having problems with their own dogs. Thereby reducing the number of homeless Jacks and assisting in the prevention of cruelty to animals.
